Ahh, the age old question on how do I get my e-mail? Well, for starters, if you don't want to download and/or configure a bulky client, you can just go to http://webmail.bholcomb.com and login to our sophisticated IMAP client, Squirrelmail.
If you want something more permanent, and more local, you can download an e-mail client. Any e-mail client that supports IMAP & SMTP over SSL will do. That includes Mozilla Thunderbird and Microsoft Outlook. For the sake of this tutorial, I will provide instructions for Mozilla Thunderbird.
If you're impatient, or know it all, you can use the following information:
You can obtain a copy of Mozilla Thunderbird by going to http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird/. Get the version for your current operating system, download it, and install it.
Run Thunderbird. You will be presented with a screen that asks you which account type to setup. Choose Email Account, and click next.
The next screen which appears will ask for Your Name and your Email address. Put your name in the Name field, and your full e-mail address in the e-mail address field, and click next.
For type of incoming server, choose IMAP. For both incoming and outgoing servers, put in millenniumforce.bholcomb.com. Click next.
For incoming username, put in your username which I provided you. Click next.
You can use the default accountname, or you can create a name for it, such as "My Super Awesome E-mail" or "PORNBOX!" or something else which is clever and will help you remember that this is your e-mail account. Click next.
Click Finish.
It should give you account settings. If not, go to Tools --> Account Settings, and it will open up the account settings page.
From the account settings page, Click the Server Settings under the e-mail account you just created. Then click the 'Use secure connection (SSL)' checkbox, and the port should change to 993. Click the Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the left pane, and again, you'll need to check the SSL radiobutton. It should change the port to 465. Once you do that, click ok, and you should be all setup with e-mail.
Any problems, e-mail me. You know my address. ;p
